Stone Pump & Trench, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, was founded in August of 2010 with the asset acquisition of an existing trench safety and pump company established in 1999.

Stone Pump & Trench offers our customers innovative, market leading rental equipment for trench safety and pumping applications coupled with unparalleled service. Our Company currently serves the North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee markets from three locations – Charlotte, North Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Badge Stone, founder and President of Stone Pump & Trench, was born in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar, and later received his MBA from Harvard Business School. His career experiences include work in a variety of industries such as farming, investment banking, apparel and vending.

While searching for over two years for a service company to purchase, Badge witnessed the passion and dedication of the people at the predecessor company of Stone Pump & Trench and knew that with the right resources, an opportunity existed to create a great company. With over 150 years of combined experience in the rental industry, our team eagerly awaits the opportunity to provide solutions for all your trench safety and pumping needs.
